The people there are great especially the ladies in the office they were so helpful

I purchased my Catalina 320 while she was moored at Georgetown Yacht Basin. Keeping her there for one year while I refitted her to sail the Caribbean turned out to be a very good decision. First of all, being located at the northern end of the Chesapeake Bay, the marina sits in fresh water so marine growth is minimal. Second, and more importantly, Georgetown Yacht Basin is a full service marina staffed with helpful, expert personnel. So, while I did a lot of the work myself, the marina was able to provide great staff for those projects I was unable to do. Third, their prices are competitive. Fourth and finally, the marina sits on the Sassafras River, offering some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. I highly recommend this marina.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS MARINA. I would give them negative stars but you can't post a review without a star. I was a slip holder (D-12) 2013 to 2017 . Marina is family owned. Ford Hall (2nd generation owner) stole my paid in full dockage fees and terminated my contract. Service department does not honor their estimates, inflates services without documentation and does not honor agreements. Marina refused to repair the damages the service department caused to my boat, then Ford Hall refused to launch my boat until I paid him in cash or bank check. Ford Hall also attempted to force me to sign a release that I wouldn't sue him. He tried to bribe my attorney with cash to get me to sign the release. I went elsewhere to have my boat properly repaired. Ford Hall likes to have "closed door meetings" so there are no witnesses to his tactics. Service department is incompetent. Ralph Hall will try to sell you services you don't need. All of the employees are nice people unfortunately Hall family "owns" them. Remember, there's not much going on in Georgetown. USE EXTREME CAUTION IF YOU DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE ! READ all the fine print in any of their documents as this is how they cheat you ! Ralph Hall (3rd generation) got caught cheating on his wife who was the Marina President. Marina has filed for bankruptcy. Infrastructure is in disrepair. Kitty Knight house has been for sale since the Fall of 2016. Key employees have left. Contact me for further information. I have a file of documents and photographs which I am willing to share in hopes of helping others avoid the experiences I have had. I know their tactics and know how they operate. Once they have your boat on their property they OWN you and force you to comply with their financial schemes.

Our boat is there. We like the people there.

Great staff. They to haul out max 33 foot beam and 110 tons. In 2016 I had to have my starboard engine repaired on my Lagoon 380. They had a mechanic meet me at the dock when I pulled in. They ended up having to rebuild the engine. Work was done quickly and we were on our way to the Bahamas.
